About this event
Ladies Lounge is spending February with women who have overcome Imposter Syndrome to help us better understand what it is, how it manifests, and how we can go about fighting it.
Why it matters?
Ever felt like your success wasn’t earned? Ever got a new job or promotion and felt like you didn't deserve it? Worried that people will find out you’re a fraud and 'not deserving of the praise'? You've got Imposter Syndrome, but don't worry, it’s something we all experience.
Imposter Syndrome, also known as 'fraud syndrome', is defined as a concept describing high-achieving individuals who are marked by an inability to internalize their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a "fraud". It has been theorized that women experience imposter syndrome more often than men, and are uniquely predisposed to having it and feeling undeserving of their success in the workplace.
What you’ll take away?
Join our panelists to hear their own experiences on overcoming those feelings of self doubt. Recognize your strength and learn how to combat the phenomenon that is plaguing women and workplaces across the world.
